Who and What We Are
To Prepare You
We are here to prepare you to read the Word of God, to learn to hear the voice of Him who created you so that you can follow Him. We DO NOT want you to listen to and follow the voices of strangers (false shepherds, yourself, unsaved people in your life, false prophets who only pretend to speak for the Almighty and who tell you what you want to hear, demons, Satan, etc.). You are living in a time when many claim to know God and to belong to Him, but only those who “do the will of My Father in Heaven” are real. We, like you, are not perfect outside of God’s eyes and Jesus’ saving and cleansing blood, but we have been walking with Him quite a while, have come to know Him well, have been walking in sanctification longer and want—and feel the call—to help you to do in these last days whatever the Lord calls you to do, both generally and specifically. The following are some verses we identify in training you up, encouraging you, exhorting (urging) you as well as loving in the form of spiritual discipline. Having been in and visited several churches—all of whom we love and maintain a level of fellowship with—the Spirit of God has allowed us to learn both what to do and not to do, so as to help ourselves, others and YOU.
And a part of this ministry is also to give you the whole counsel of God; that is to preach and share and teach and walk according to the Word of God that we agree with and enjoy hearing, AS WELL AS those things we may not agree with or want to hear at first. As genuine believers of Christ, our goal and commitment are to submit to His Lordship and realign our present beliefs and preferences to be under His Sovereignty. Otherwise, we are in rebellion and can’t truly identify as Christians. Many Christians, pastors, preachers, radio ministries and others make claims based on the Word that are either out of context, have been heard and repeated so many times that they are assumed and believed to be true but are not, or are simply just not taught in full. This not only is not good, but it can leave the sheep with wrong beliefs, false promises, weak and confused faith, etc. A few examples are found in 1 Peter 2:24 (Isaiah 53:5), Mark 3:28-30 and 1 Corinthians 11:26-30. The following verses, however, are for your instruction:
1 PETER 5:8, “BE SOBER-MINDED; BE WATCHFUL. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.”
PROVERBS 22:6, “TRAIN UP a child…” (A YOUNG PERSON) “…IN THE WAY HE SHOULD GO; even when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
2 TIMOTHY 4:2, “PREACH THE WORD; be ready in season and out of season; REPROVE, REBUKE, and EXHORT, with complete patience and teaching.”
MATTHEW 28:19-20, “GO therefore and MAKE DISCIPLES…” (committed followers) “…of all nations, BAPTIZING THEM IN THE NAME of the FATHER and of the SON and of the HOLY SPIRIT, TEACHING THEM to observe all that I have commanded you. And, behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
2 TIMOTHY 1:14, “By the Holy Spirit that dwells within us, GUARD THE GOOD DEPOSIT entrusted to you.”
1 CORINTHIANS 11:1, “You are to IMITATE ME…” (US) “…just as I…” (WE) “… IMITATE CHRIST.”
ACTS 5:27-29, “And when they had brought them…” (you and us) “they set them before the council. And the high priest questioned them, saying, ‘We strictly charged you not to TEACH IN THIS NAME, yet here you have FILLED JERUSALEM WITH YOUR TEACHING, and you intend to bring this man’s blood upon us.’ But Peter and the apostles answered, ‘WE MUST OBEY GOD RATHER THAN MEN.’”
ROMANS 13:1-7, “Let every person BE SUBJECT TO THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore, whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those that resist will incur judgment. For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God’s wrath on the wrongdoer. Therefore, one must be in subjection not only to avoid God’s wrath, but also for the sake of conscience. For because of this you also pay taxes, for the authorities are ministers of God, attending to this very thing. Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, RESPECT TO WHOM RESPECT IS OWED, HONOR TO WHOM HONOR IS OWED.”
2 TIMOTHY 2:15, “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, RIGHTLY DIVIDING THE WORD OF TRUTH.”
ACTS 18:26, (speaking of Apollos), “He began to SPEAK BOLDLY in the synagogue, but when Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him aside and EXPLAINED TO HIM THE WAY OF GOD MORE ACCURATELY.”
ACTS 20:27, “For I DID NOT SHRINK FROM DECLARING TO YOU THE WHOLE COUNSEL OF GOD.” (We will not tell you only what you want to hear—2 Timothy 4:3)
And, please, be like the Bereans whom the Apostle Paul commended because they “searched the scriptures” to verify that what he was saying and teaching was true, rather than simply taking his word for it. We are fully aware and saddened by how this world is full of churches with “preachers” and “pastors” who are neither appointed nor anointed by the Lord. There are many false teachers and false prophets lurking around filling our heads with unbiblical nonsense. There are dangerous and ridiculous doctrines and theologies being proclaimed which, if you would read the Word of God, you would recognize as they do not align themselves with the truth. There are many people declaring there is more than one way to God. There are people and pastors contorting and cheapening the grace of our Lord leading sheep to believe man is either not sinful or does not need to repent because, they say, God loves people just the way they are. If that were true, why did God send His son to die in our place so that we could be reconciled to Him? There would be no need for the crucifixion or the resurrection. As it is, it is absolutely necessary. Without it, the earth would be nothing more than a mass grave—alive in the flesh, but dead in transgression. Learn of the torch/ baton of the Gospel. Appreciate what it is and what it means. Train and prepare yourself to take it when it’s passed to you, and entrusted to you. Then not only run with it, but guard it. Learn from those who have come before you; then you will be ready for us to pass it on to you. It’s precious and worth everything.
